In New Jersey, anyone who is at least 17 years old can apply for a motorcycle permit, which is the first step toward obtaining a motorcycle license. Step 3:

Schedule and Pass the Road Test

After completing the required practice period, you can schedule your road test with the MVC. The road test evaluates your ability to operate a motorcycle safely and confidently. Upon passing the road test, you will receive your motorcycle endorsement or motorcycle license.

2) Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s (MSF) Basic Rider Course (BRC). No NJ motorcycle permit and no motorcycle are required to take this course.
